Operational technology. Real impact.

Technology for safe operations and better decisions.

Naviation develops software and integrated systems for operational environments where people, geospatial information and real-time data need to work together.

We build our own products — and take on selected projects that turn complex challenges into working systems.

Built from operations

01 — Approach

We start with the operation. Then we build the technology around it.

Naviation started by digitalising a problem we knew first-hand: the manual and fragmented coordination of drone operations in controlled airspace.

The same approach now spans operational logging, airport workflows, unmanned traffic management, display recording and sensor-based monitoring. The technologies differ; the principle remains: understand the operation first, then build around it.

Dronerequest®

Digital coordination of drone operations

A structured digital workflow for flight requests, ATC coordination and operational information — developed from first-hand ATC experience and evolved through operational use. A simple, intuitive interface keeps complex coordination clear for both drone operators and air traffic personnel. Designed with respect for established regulatory roles and operational procedures, it enables digital coordination without requiring changes to the underlying regulatory framework.

NaviationUTM™

Modular UTM technology for U-space and beyond

NaviationUTM™ brings flight authorisation, traffic information, positioning and geospatial services into a shared operational picture. Built with EASA U-space functions at its core, the platform can be configured for different geographies, regulatory environments and operational use cases — providing the technology foundation for organisations that want to deliver and operate UTM services including EASA U-spaces.

Position Log

Turning operational activity into structured data

Digital logging of operational positions and working activity, replacing paper records, manual calculations and spreadsheet-based follow-up. A comprehensive operational toolkit also streamlines non-conformity reporting, rostering, equipment status, flight hazard analysis and other day-to-day processes. Developed for the demanding Air Traffic Management environment, its structured workflows and operational rigour also make it well suited to other complex and safety-critical operations.

Selected solutions

03 — Beyond the platforms

Built to solve specific operational problems.

Not every challenge needs to become a standalone product. We also develop targeted solutions where software, hardware and integration need to work together.

Research & innovation

04 — Emerging technology

From research questions to working technology.

Naviation participates in research and innovation projects where emerging technologies can be developed, integrated and evaluated in real-world environments. Our role often bridges the gap between concept and implementation.

Airborne connectivity & situational awareness

Through flight campaigns across Sweden, Naviation has measured mobile network signal strength at altitude. The work also connects high-site ADS-B reception with unmanned aviation and potential maritime applications — combining connectivity, aircraft data and geospatial flight information into a shared operational picture.
